It is finally here! The call for applications for schoarships for doing the distance mode master's programme "Digital Libraries and Information Services" at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS), University of Borås.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP FOR A MASTER'S PROGRAMME IN DIGITAL LIBRARIES AND INFORMATION SERVICES BY DISTANCE MODE AT THE SWEDISH SCHOOL OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE AT UNIVERSITY OF BORAS, SWEDEN

The University of Rwanda (UR) Library under its cooperation with the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida), wishes to recruit 2 students to undertake a master’s programme in Digital Libraries and Information Services by distance mode at the Swedish School of Library and information Science at University of Boras in Sweden for the academic year 2014/2015. The duration of the programme : 2 years.

ELIGIBILITY

The applicant must be a:

·         Rwandan citizen and permenent library staff member working in the University of Rwanda.

·         Bachelor´s degree holder (480 credits according to the Rwandan system, or to 180 EC credits [HP] according to the Swedish system) in Library and Information Science or the equivalent in humanities, social science, natural sciences.

·         English proficient. or have university degree from an english speaking university.

·         Be ready to continue working as a UR library staff member after completion of the study at least for 2 years.

INTERESTED APPLICANTS ARE TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

·         An application letter for scholarship for master's programme in Digital Libraries and Information  Services at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science at Boras University, Sweden.

·         A certified copy of a Bachelor’s degree with a transcript of records (a list of individual courses taken).

·         A recommendation letter from his/her line manager.

·         A current CV.
