Some news

I know that many of you are waiting for the call for distance studies in library and information science at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science, with residentials in Rwanda and one visit to Sweden. Please be patient. The call is soon to be announced at the University of Rwanda.

Since our last update, teacher Ola Pilerot, whom many of you have already met, has defended his doctoral theisis: Design researchers' information sharing : the enactment of a discipline. You can find the doctoral theisis in the University of Borås Digital Archive, BADA. (Please try the link.) Congratulations, Ola!

The workshops that Ola held on the theme of the Modern Research Library, were in parts inspired by the work of Professor Jan Nolin. Professor Nolin was recentley awarded ”Outstanding Paper 2013” for his article ”The special librarian and personalized meta-services: strategies for reconnecting librarians and researchers” in the journal Library Review. (Pleae try the link.) Congratulations, Jan!

I hope that next time we update this blog, it will be for the master studies call.

Take care.
//Veronica Trépagny, Team leader, Swedish School of Library and Information Science, SSLIS, University of Borås
