Open Science Training Handbook and courses

With the EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) yearly report came a reminder of the FOSTER Open Science Training Handbook, developed by EIFL and partners in a EU project and shared through creative commons. Open science can be seen as a process of making scientific research results, publications and data accessible, shareable and transparent. The Open Science Training Handbook is a useful toolkit for those who wish to know more, and develop skills and organisations for open science.

Even though more developed for the researchers rather than librarians, the Open Science Toolkit, is a collection on free online courses on open science related areas, where courses such as Open Access Publishing and Open Licensing, could be of interest to librarians within our project as well.
